In 2000, Catholics voted for Al Gore over George W. Bush by 50-47 percent. In Missouri, though, a key battleground state in presidential elections, Catholics sided with Bush over Gore by 55-44 percent, according to an ABC News exit poll.

Compared to the rest of the Catholic electorate (Gore:50% Bush:47%) in 2000, this I would think is a good sign.
