Roe Effect

Over on the Catholics for Kerry forum this WSJ Online article on the 'Roe Effect' was posted. It provoked some heated responses from the Kerry Catholics. The consensus was that this is all bunk. The premise of the Roe Effect is that abortion has killed many of those who would otherwise now be alive and voting. You can judge for yourselves. Some thoughts on the Roe Effect can be found here, here, here, here and here. I think there is some merit in the argument that some of the 18 million+ murdered children who would now be of voting age would be voting Democrat and would be prepared to re-elect President Gore this November.

 

Why the heated responses from the Kerry Catholics? Maybe frustration that this could really be true. Maybe difficulty accepting they are responsible for the election and possible re-election of President Bush through their advocacy of abortion. Anyway you look at it, it is sad that they fail to see this or any other impact that the slaughter of 40 million+ lives lost has had on our nation.
