Former Bush staffer says Democratic Party abandoned Catholics

Article about Peggy Noonan and her take on Catholics supporting President Bush.

At the same time, the former White House staffer said she has watched the Republican Party evolve into a party more open to the expression of religion. "The party is more welcoming, more open to religion and to faith in the public square, while the Democrats have grown narrower, more fretful and openly antagonistic to religion," Noonan said, adding that the Democratic Party "has forgotten that freedom of religion does not mean freedom from religion."

:) "false pretenses"... meaning... mistakenly killing people? at worst, there was some bad intelligence and it was a mistake to be in there. there's not quite that excuse in regards to the right of a mother to kill her offspring if it's an inconvenience, though, is there?
