End the Roe Litmus Test
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has launched a campaign aimed at persuading the U.S. Senate not to impose an abortion “litmus test” on judicial nominees who might come before the Senate for approval. Part of this campaign is being conducted via a newly launched web site that allows you to e-mail your Senators with a specific message.
The web site is www.endroe.org. It gives helpful background information about the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision which legalized abortion, and allows constituents to forward a clear message to your Senators: “Please do not require support for Roe v. Wade as a condition for determining a nominee's fitness for judicial office.”
