'Civility' called for at Red Mass

This is exactly the role Catholic clergy should take in the public square. The Cardinal's words were non-partisan, though he didn't seem afraid of being called partisan by the over-scrupulous. He had as his theme the common good of American society, to make sure that the government serves the people as it is supposed to without partisan conflict getting in the way. You sure don't hear enough about this kind of teaching from the pulpit, do you?
