Bishops pressured to back amendment

How odd it seems to suggest that the Bishops need to be pressured to support the idea that marriage is soley between a man and a woman. One would think they would be leading the charge, not just because it is what the Church has taught for 2000 years, but because studies show the importance a mother and father are to children and how marriage protects women from being exploited and treated as objects. How sad to think that some in the USCCB want to hold back on supporting this amendment to ensure President Bush is not re-elected in Nov. We know they are there (Ono Ekeh was one example) but to see that they have that much influence is disheartening.

Our bishops need our prayers! And those who work in the USCCB need them as well.
