Abortion debated by presidential candidates

Kerry's comment on abortion was totally disgusting. I feel he tried to use his Catholicism as a shield to protect him from his utterly despicable idea to federal fund abortion and to make sure every person "knows their options." There are a lot of things in the constitution that the government does not fund to make sure every American can take advantage of. What makes abortion so special to this man that he needs to divert federal funds so women can obtain an abortion. Isn't it a better use of federal funds to allow poor women money to obtain prenatal care so that no one ever has to worry about not being able to afford to bring a pregnancy to full term.

when he ran in 1978 bush was pro-choice...

The Avalanche-Journal reported: "Bush said he opposes the pro-life amendment favored by Reese and favors leaving up to a woman and her doctor the abortion question. 'That does not mean I'm for abortion,' he said."
