Outspoken Catholic cardinal captivates audience

Cardinal Arinze recently spoke in Pittsburgh and I had to include this article on the visit. Some highlights:

Arinze called the ban on women's ordination "settled" and said no future pope was likely to reconsider.

"You don't have to be a priest to have a dynamic apostolate," he said. "Women are mothers, they are wives, they work in schools, hospitals, parliament, senate, politics, arts, mass media, science and technology. Mother Teresa of Calcutta did not need to be a priest in order to have an impact on the world.

"That is what people should be working on, and not working on areas that are not possible.
